Military computers off-limits to Tweeting GIs

Some Arizona military families are losing a fast, convenient connection to loved ones serving overseas now that the Marine Corps is banning soldiers from using its computer network to go to social-networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
The
Marines issued a memo this week saying the sites pose security risks. At the same time, the Department of Defense has launched an analysis of the issue and expects to come up with a comprehensive policy by the end of September.

Adobe kills lower-end Photoshop

ADOBE URGES USERS ONLINE -- Adobe Systems is discontinuing Photoshop Album Starter Edition, the lowest rung of its image-editing software products, as it pushes users toward the online Photoshop.com site.

Out of Mind
